The Maker

Project Construction Value: $2.3 million

Completion Date: August 2008
PACT Construction was appointed to design and construct a purpose made facility for The Maker, a Western Australian owned kitchen design and manufacturing company.

Working with design firm Meyer Shircore and Associates, PACT Construction managed to deliver the project on time and on budget.  The project involved the construction of an 1800 square metre factory/ warehouse facility consisting of a heavy duty slab on ground, structural steel portal frame, tilt concrete panels and steel framed, metal corrugated wall spandrels. In addition to the new building, the overall development included extensive car park modification, an oversite landscape upgrade, substantial façade modifications and upgrades to the existing building and a new staff alfresco area.

Inside the new facility, The Maker's specialised stone cutting plant and equipment, combined with overhead lifting facilities and a gantry crane were all commissioned in September 2008.
