PACT offers a full range of design, construction and project management services for multi-level commercial and residential projects. A 'whole of project' service, including managing the documentation of the project brief, creating project concepts, setting budgets against project concepts to set feasibility outcomes, ensuring initial design briefs and feasibilities are met, and of course delivering the project.

PACT Construction has taken out two awards as well as receiving a High Commendation at the prestigious Master Builders Association (MBA) Excellence in Construction Awards on Saturday 22 July 2017.

The $22.3 million Church House was awarded ‘Best Office Building’, while the Mills Park Centre project received acclaim with the ‘Excellence in Waste Management’ award and a High Commendation for ‘Excellence in Energy Efficiency’.

General Manager of PACT Construction, Jason Kunkler, said PACT’s latest achievements are a great recognition for our teams’ efforts. “The MBA is an outstanding organisation, and to be once again recognised by our own industry is extremely humbling.”

Church House: Winner of the “Best Office Building” award

Completed in 113 weeks, the $22.3 million Church House project required PACT to overcome a series of challenges, making it a worthy winner of the Best Office Building award. Commissioned by the Anglican Church Diocese of Perth and located on a complex site amidst 150-year old heritage listed buildings, PACT drew upon an innovative ‘top-down’ construction method to bring the project to life with minimal impact to surrounding structures.

The finished building brings to life six floors of A-grade commercial space, built to both a 4-star Green Star and 4.5-star NABERS rating and fitted out to impeccable standards. A curved engineered facade wraps around two sides of the structure offering unimpeded views to the Cathedral and Stirling Gardens, while carved stone and pedestrian connections complete a stunning structure in sync with its surroundings.

“We’re incredibly proud to have this project recognised and add yet another chapter to our storied history of delivering within strict guidelines,” said Mr Kunkler. “The award deservedly recognises the innovative thinking PACT used to ensure both old and new architecture can coexist side by side deep into the 21st century.”

Mills Park Centre: Winner of the “Excellence in Waste Management” award and High Commendation for “Excellence in Energy Efficiency”

It took PACT just 59 weeks to bring Australia’s first As-Built 6-star Green Star rated public building to life. The $16.2 million Mills Park Centre is the cornerstone of an ambitious 24-hectare redevelopment, which integrates the community centre within vibrant new grounds.

The facility went through a rigorous design process, with all materials selected to conform to strict green certification requirements. High level finishes abound, from polished feature concrete precast columns, to aluminium composite cladding, full height glazing, stainless steel balustrades, sun smart screening and polished concrete.

“We’re all exceptionally proud of this pioneering project,” commended Mr Kunkler. “Achieving an As-Built 6-star Green Star certification from the Green Building Council of Australia on the first attempt is an extremely rare achievement which we feel this award celebrates.

“It’s extremely satisfying knowing we’ve created a stunning facility that brings the community and staff together in sustainable, contemporary spaces.

With the MBA Awards considered amongst the most prestigious forms of industry recognition, PACT’s latest success further fuels the company’s desire to add to its trophy cabinet by taking on projects of greater scale and complexity in the future.

The company looks forward to building on its collaborative, ‘whole of project’ approach to continue a trend of building excellence and seamless delivery, on time and on budget.
