PROJECT SNAPSHOT

This elegant development delivered a new head office for Webb & Brown-Neaves, Investor Assist and ABN Realty. It was designed by Meyer Shircore. (This building has since been leased and WB Homes have re-located to 301 Vincent Street, Leederville as of June 2021)

OVERCOMING CHALLENGES

  • The project demanded an exceptionally high-quality product and finish to match Webb & Brown-Neaves’ status and reputation in the residential building industry. We worked with the design team to select finishes and materials that not only complemented the Webb & Brown-Neaves brand but also imbued the building with a timeless elegance.
  • The tight program posed another challenge. Delivering the project in just 32 weeks required careful communication and management of subcontractors.

HIGHLIGHTS

This project earned a number of design awards, including:

  • ‘Best Commercial Interior’ and ‘Commercial Building’ – 2004 Building Designers Association of WA Awards.
  • ‘Best Commercial Interior’ – 2005 Building Designers Association of Australia National Awards.

FEATURES OF DEVELOPMENT

The new offices feature polished precast concrete, a high-level cantilevered structural steel framed awning lined with alucobond, curtain wall glazing with both tinted and colourback glass, feature donnybrook sandstone to tilt up concrete panels and a feature glass balustrade with stainless handrail and planar fixings.

Other features include a cantilevered concrete balcony, a vergola with operable elliptical louvres and on-grade carparking surrounding the building.
