PROJECT SNAPSHOT

Designed by Meyer Shircore, Francis St is a four-storey, $6.4 million office building. Its modern aesthetic perfectly complements the revitalised Northbridge office and retail area.

We won a competitive design and construct tender process.

OVERCOMING CHALLENGES

  • Façade design workshops and meetings were held between PACT, the architect and relevant subcontractors to ensure each façade element, and the interfaces between them, were properly considered and designed.
  • A constrained site meant frequent road / lane closures were needed for concrete pours, lifting and other construction activities. Construction was also occurring adjacent to our site, so both sets of builders and architects had to meet and collaborate to complete works on the neighbouring walls of each building.

HIGHLIGHTS

The elegant front façade comprises of curtain wall glazing with red aluminium powdercoated feature boxes incorporating sun shading and ventilation.

FEATURES OF DEVELOPMENT

The building is a conventional concrete structure with infill masonry walls, glazed and clad rear façade, and curtain wall glazed front facade.

The ground floor includes an entrance lobby, office, and secure undercover parking. The second, third and fourth floors comprise 12 individual offices of varying sizes, lift / foyer lobbies, restrooms and general amenity areas.
