The Whitfield is a mixed use development located in the heart of the Bassendean town centre and comprises of a ground floor café, offices and carpark with 34 apartments over a four storey development. The building envelope has been constructed using traditional brickwork, glazed balustrading and colourbond roofing.
Apartments consist of one and two bedroom layouts with private balconies. The communal areas feature an atrium garden with planters containing water wise planting and pergola areas together with BBQ and seating facilities. The ground floor carpark features CCTV monitored secure parking, with 48 car bays, stores, waste management area and end of trip facilities including bike racks and communal restrooms. The verge has also been altered to accommodate visitor car parking and local council services to the site.
The site is situated in an area with a high water table and which required extensive dewatering to enable in-ground concrete footings and services installations.
